I'm heading to a doubles tournament in the near future and i'm taking my Ultramarines army. My partner is taking space wolves and his list will potential look like the following (depend on what goodies they get in PA6);

Arjac Rockfist

5x terminators (TH+SS)

5x Wulfen (TH+SS)

5x Wulfen (TH+SS)

6x long Fangs (with missile launchers and lascannons)

What would you recommend that i can adjust with regards to my list and is there any glaring omissions that would be beneficial for me to take? I would prefer to keep it Primaris only where possible.

Hi good luck with your tournament.

Unless i'm wrong you can take 2 aux grenade launchers in your 10 man intercessor squad for free.

I think the only unit I would swap out would beto swap Tigurius for a Primaris Librarian .
Tigurius gives you ability to force opponent to subtract 1 from hit rolls targeting a unit 6" from Tigurius.
But he's 130 points compared to 98 points for Primaris Librarian/

You will probably find you only use 2 powers normally, along with Smite. so Tigurius being able to take 3 is nice but unnecessary IMO.

have you considered Inceptors instead of Aggressors for Deep Strike ability

I've taken Tigurius purely down to the fact i have him painted, but i don't disagree with your thought process regarding taking a regular librarian. I'll have to get the finger out and paint him up.

Same reason why i've taken aggressors over incpetors. plus i love the Ultramarine aggressors as they have a much more frightening threat range over regular flavour Aggressors

Are you restricted as to what setup you take? Eg you have to take batallion?

A vanguard detachment of Aggressors could pack a punch alongside the Space Wolves..

Looking at both lists combined, the redemptor seems like dead weight as it is your only vehicle - it will be shot down quickly on its own. As the wolves have scary melee units that will attract fire maybe you should try and get some durability and mobility into your half of the team, maxing out on gravis units could do this with more aggressors and also inceptors for speed. Maybe something like this:

Primaris Chapter Master: power sword, mc auto bolt rifle, calm under fire or master of strategy, bellicose bolt rifle
Chief Librarian Tigurius: scryers gaze + any 2 other powers

Intercessors: 5 with bolt rifles, 1 chainsword
Intercessors: 5 with bolt rifles, 1 chainsword
Intercessors: 5 with bolt rifles, 1 chainsword

Aggressors: 6 with boltstorm gauntlets

Inceptors: 5 with assault bolters

Reserve the inceptors and try to use them as a harassing unit, if the aggressors happen to die they should be fast enough to jump into their place and take on Tiggy's -1 to hit and the masters rerolls.
