Huge fan of the game and can’t wait for the sequel. Also Neil Drukmann the lead game designer, and Graig Mazin(who did Chernobyl tv series last year) are both attached. This is obviously pre mature but this has huge potential IMO. If you haven’t seen Chernobyl please do, the way the story builds dread slowly I think would be perfect for the Last of Us. I hope they can get some of the original voice actors to play some role, either guest spots or even playing other characters. I also wonder who they will cast for Joel and Elle? Haha can’t wait!

While interesting, given that Naughty Dog games are effectively game versions of movies/shows, it kinda baffles me that they would want to make movies/shows from them when they're more or less fine as is. If they do the story about someone else besides the original story of Joel and Ellie, I might be interested (maybe a prequel with him and Tommy, and why Tommy split from Joel?). Even maybe something to do with Marlene and the Fireflies wouldn't be bad.

Yes I understand what you mean about adapting movies to games back to movies and tv( isn’t the Last of Us loosely based on a sci-fi movie from the 90’s with Angelina Jolie haha).

I agree also that new characters or showing other storylines will have to be included. This also depends on the episode count per season 6 to 10 episodes seems to be a good amount to me.

Perhaps the first episode could show Joel, Elle, and Marlene before the outbreak but hopefully won’t make the whole first season on their origins. Then each episode could jump back and forth without getting too complicated.

I really enjoyed how they broke up the game into seasons so something similar could be interesting. Two, one hour episodes dedicated to each season, like a series on movies.

Pretty good list for possible actors but probably unrealistic. While Hugh Jackman would make a great Joel, i think it would feel too much like Logan. Josh Brolin would be great IMO but I doubt he would do it. Anson Mount sounds like the most realistic and even though later seasons were not that good, Hell on Wheels’ first season is very entertaining because of him being believable as a bad ass haha.

Elle is really difficult though, might have to find a new actor for the part. Sophia Lillis is a good choice, while Millie Bobbie Brown is a long shot. Ironically even though it would also seem too much like Logan, Dafne Keen could be a good choice.

I just hope that they don’t go crazy with the casting, don’t make Joel a woman, or not from Texas, don’t make Elle 20 years old and not gay, etc. Add new characters by fleshing out the Firefly’s or something else.
