I've been writing up my narrative for my Ad Mech army and my Electropriests are severely lacking for character.

You've got the Fulgerite and Corpuscarii Electropriests. But in the background information they are very set in stone. Essentially all Fulgerite have Leechstaffs and all Corpuscarii have electrogauntlets. All Fulgerites are believers in covetting the Motive Force, Corpuscarii are believers in spreading the Motive Force.

But they don't have any character or any representation in the codex that gives me an idea of how they behave. I think the Techpriest novel has a couple, but their characterization is little more than advising a Techpriest not to do a thing.

How do you all represent your Electropriests? Is there something from the lore I'm missing about them?

Edit:
My current thoughts on Fulgerites is that sucking the life force out of enemies can corrupt their code. Causing a Priest who has taken too many Ork lives to exhibit Ork like qualities.

I remember reading a short story about electropriests who worshipped a massive generator. They were written as almost insane in a "crazy zealous worshipper" way. If I remember right, they fried a squad of space marines sent by the inquisition to destroy the generator. Because it was a xeno generator.

That's all I've got, unfortunately.

I imagine the average Imperial citizen would find them quite shocking. Their beliefs are a bit static but they are certainly charged with conviction!

Nonstop lightning puns like a 1980s slasher movie villain, given their appearances and facial expressions.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

They are definitely fanatical, and in three of the five times I've seen them come up in books they've tried to murder their superior for what they consider to be heresy.

They do not believe resistance is futile, as when they commune with their machine god, they chant "Ohm! Ohm!"

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
