Is it possible for a Blackshield to have been recruited by Belasarius Cawl for His Primaris Project?

If so do you think that Blackshield would be exempt from execution?

You can make up whatever backstory you want for your force. At the end of the day all 99.999% of opponents will care about is the rules you're using.

The stock answer is "they're your models - do what you want" - but what do you want to do? Are you talking about the original HH Blacksheilds or the DW ones?

AFAIK Cawl didn't work on 'upgrading' existing Marines until after Gulliman returned so most of the original Blacksheilds would be long gone - but we know that 'fringe' Chapters like the Carcharodons are receiving unofficial Primaris reinforcements.
