Hello everyone!

As with many of you, quarantine has me out of work and sitting at home at the moment. Unfortunately for my hobby pursuit, "home" at the moment is my girlfriend's apartment on the other side of the country. So in between classes and binging old project threads, I've been playing around with a theoretical 2000 point list making use of The Greater Good's additions to our roster. I only own a bit less than half the current list, so it's also a nice goal for me to work towards once I'm able to begin modelling again. This is intended to be semi-competetive list while also being fun to play and play against. Plus, Sky Rays are cool. Basic list analysis will follow the roster.

Tactical Drones - 4x Shield Drones [40]

General combat deployment has the Breachers loaded up, the XV8 squad and the two Shield Drone squads in reserve (with the potential to reserve the Coldstars as well), and everything else on the board. Bare-bones Strike Teams serve as rear screens and Engineers in ITC games, while the turret squads set up with good coverage turn 1 or midfield turn 2. Broadsides and Skyrays cluster with the Warlord if needed to CNC alpha strike something like a Knight off the board. Fireblades set up with good LOS to give Markerlight support where needed.

Breachers move midfield to contest objectives and potentially escort the Coldstars, with shield drones dropping down as additional screens when needed. XV8s deepstrike to support unless I absolutely need to trade for something, but they have enough potential I'd prefer not to. Skyrays are markerlight platforms and SMS bullies once the racks are empty. Broadsides have marker drones to be self-sufficient in case the Skyrays go down or don't have LOS, and go for armor and high-value targets. The turret squads are board control, harass with the SMS and occasionally pop a markerlight if I need them to. Coldstars do what they do best - harass and hunt while potentially grabbing late-game objectives.

My main debates in this list are as follows. First, Sophisticated Command Net for the alpha potential or Stabilization Systems for long-term Broadside support? Second, marker to shield ratio for the Broadsides? Third, Unity for support or Precision for extra supporting firepower? Fourth, Strike team markerlights or DC and Marker drones on the Warlord, or call it good and get another Seeker on the Broadside team? Finally, are the stabilizer jets necessary with the FSE 12" markerlight trait?

Feedback and advice are welcome!

Um, isn't styrene + gasoline = napalm?
More or less yes...Great, we've gone from cheap resin substitutes to weapons banned by the geneva convention...
