I just bought my starter set and am wanting to make an Imperial list that is "my dudes". The only issue and worry I have is that I will need to do some light conversion work on the Commanders.

How easy does it look to remove some of the command pips on the General and Director commander? I don't want to take them all off, just enough to lower their rank to like a captain so. The pips on the general look really easy to but the Director I am worried about.
