*****************************************************************************

I'm pretty new to the game/hobbie (maybe 6/7 matched battles so far), and I'm trying to build a solid, not neccesarily ultra competitive list so I'm able to have fun trying not to become a punching bag for my friends... The list is build thinking in no particular opponent but being able to deal with a little bit of whatever is comning.

Basically I want a solid shooty plague army core re-rolling wounds and a psyker that might buff surrounding infantry. flyers seemed cheap and good for what they can do and on top of that, lots of bodies to swarm objectives. Also, and please feedback here... am i correct to try and add more poxwalkers with a screen of cultists and dead walk again strategem as they die in front of me... does it makes sense? or is it just me being sadistic toward humans?

Huge thanks in advance, happy to elaborate, please be ruthless in your feedback, I want to learn... cheers!

I will hope it's mostly you being sadistic! You are representing one of the fell powers of the warp, after all!
But, other than that, I really like the list. It looks solid, (and stylish). You aren't strapped for CP, but you don't hoard them for their own sake, either. The army has a purpose, but is no one-trick pony. I wish I could brain-storm up all the possible traps and downfall that you might run into in a competitive setting, but I have never been to a tournament either.
I would like to play against that army, as I wouldn't feel cheated, if I lose, and I would feel a sense of accomplishment if I win.

You're not disgusting if you're not transforming your own petty humans into adorable hordes of zombies! But I guess that would be a very situational gimmick that might or not help to the cause....

Many thanks for your comment and feedback man, it does boosts confidence towards army building! What faction / army do you usually run? I've been doing TTS lately with friends, mostly against the *censored* Eldar and Blood Angels / Space Wolves cocktails that mostly, exploded on my face... I will try this list and let you know outcomes for sure!

I had quite a collection of stuff, back when the Dark Eldar were still the new scary kid on the block, and everybody was shocked when stuff like "Necron" or "Tau" appeared.instead of a re-release of Space dwatfs. 3.Edition? but live happened and I sold some of my stuff at ebay and dumped the rest when moving flats.

I haven't done much with 40k since, but feel drawn back to the hobby in the last months. I have been mostly theoryhammering, mathhammering and watching other people play on youtube, to decide what army I want to get into this time.

Latest plan: Convert 15 Sister Sororitas into Slaanesh Possessed, 2-4 BloodAngels Sanguinius Priests into Greater Possessed of Slaanesh, get a bunch of Wordbearer buff characters and stuff all of them into a (whatsitsname, ah ja) Hellforged Spartan Assault Tank.
Thats basically an overprized Land Raider, but at least it got a transport capacity of 25!!! (Whats that newfangled nonsense about Landraiders not able to transport more than a Rhino about?)
Most of the army pretty in white and gold, imperial cult like, with just a touch of pink, black and purple Wordbearer priests hidden in the back.... and a Slaanesh Daemon detachment battalion running escort for the landship.

Holding me back atm: I am a bit scared of doing the conversion work for my Possessed bomb, and even debating with myself if I should just cough up the money and commission them to a professional studio. My memories of trying to glue resin minis together, just to watch them fall apart again halfway through basecoating are still haunting, and my only experience with green stuff are two selfmade monk miniatures, mostly consisting of a lot of vaguely human-shaped robes, still missing heads and hands till this day.
From all the minis I ever blotched paint on, only half of one of my Bloodbowl teams looked decent.

I really didn't care much what my minis looked like back in the days, but if I get back into the game, I demand my army to look stunning! That means either devoting a considerate amount of time into actually acquiring the appropriate artistic skills, or accepting, that miniature assembling and painting might not be my calling, and paying the bills.

Looks like a fun and varied list, loads of stuff you can do, my only concern would be all your Heavy stuff hitting on 4s (unless the Hell Blade ignores the move and fire Heavy), that means straight away they only hit half the time which could cause you to struggle against armour based or - 1 to hit armies.

That is absolutely right, this is an army that doesn't have a problem wounding but it definitely will struggle hitting with the heavy stuff... DG does have the stratagem to allow a DEATH GUARD VEHICLE to move and shoot heavy or advance and shoot without penalization, but seems like a very expensive one-shot per turn. I might consider getting rid of the reinforcement poxwalkers and one hell blade for a more accurate dread...

Thanks for the tip! it seems this is going against Tau (expecting Riptide to spoil the fun), I will let you know the outcome
