Just take Stalker Bolt Rifle, you may use "target sighted" to ultilize the RG super doctrine. I prefer take them in 10 men strong unit to make good use of that strategem. Make sure you can eliminate that important character in one go to avoid them getting back lost wounds through their psychic power of strategem.
Even if you take them in 5 men squad and or not use that strategem, stalker bolt rifle's natural AP-2 and 2 dmg in RG's hand is still quite a threat to large characters such as Knights and Discordant Lords.

Would like my intercessors to camp objectives probably so was thinking of the standard bolt rifle or the stalker. The auto with no ap shooting at other marines hurts even with moving and 3 shots. I know you get -1 ap in the 2nd doctrine but then the standard bolt rifle gets ap -2 while camping a objective with more range over the auto

Also would use eliminators then to snipe out their characters rather than stalker bolt rifle intercessors?

You can have at most 9 eliminators in your list (matched play rule of 3). At S5, poor AP and at best random damage they will struggle to put down any significant characters from armies like Custodes or even other space marine chapters. Even if all your shots hit and wound, you’re not putting down a 2+/3++ character, or even a 3+/3++ character like a smash captain in some cases. Character dreadnoughts are another good target for mass shooting from stalkers as well; in general the more ways you have to kill characters the better so why not both?

Yeah maybe a squad with standard and 1 squad with stalker I guess to cover all bases. I could always model the unit with the auto bolt clip and say it's a standard bolt rifle if I wanted to unless it was a strict tournament? Automatically Appended Next Post: think I'll go 1 squad with auto bolt rifle's who are free to move around the board with no penalty to shooting and 1 squad with stalker bolt rifle's for more of a stationary high AP fire base
