Hi guys. Fairly new to 8th edition as I have only recently got back into the hobby.

I used to run a DOA list in 6th, so want to avoid essentially buying an entirely new blood angels army.

Assault marines don’t seem as viable as they used to be so will be purchasing a few bits and pieces to fill out my collection.

What do you think of the below?

I understand that you are stick to the models you have, but if you will expand your collection - keep in mind that you can change 3 predators to 15!!! sanguinary guards, and then you can drop lieutenant as you already have rerolls for to-wound from ancient warlord to your needed sources of damage. In this case you can make better kick and not so worry about loosing one unit of heavy close combat unit. Would also add to your list sanguinary priest on jump pack, to boost all your chainswords. Also, I don't really think you need a captain if you will run 20+ sanguinary guards - they are dealing with knights even better =)

Also, probably worth to have only one unit of DeathCompany (but with 4-5 hammers) - easier to buff them and switch assault squad to vanguard squad - they are much better

Sure thing, this is only if you are planning to expand your collection

And for another character - I assume sanguinor is a top-choice with his tricky abilities

Good call with the lieutenant, I think I will run a librarian and vanguard vets instead of assault marines. Thanks for your help
