You can only have 3 units of tactical drones due to rule of 3
For Tau each detachment=1 commander and gicen how good they are you normally want to max detachments for this reason alone and free comand point is always better.

Drones can be made into 10 man units x 3, or most units are allowed to have 2 or more shield drones to accompany them.

My other thoughts are....
An Ethereal is nice for sense of stone
You will want more marker lights to help with hitting, you could have more marker drones and then mix them in with the sheild drone squads to protect them, or put a marker light on a few of the firewarrrior squads.
