As found out my original post was moved into another sub section have since finished my last model of my Cult of Malphas team and got a good picture that oddly seems like something of a graduation photo style look upon looking over it

The bases are 100% complete as process was the tops of the bases were done in Basilicanum Grey and then going over the base tops except for any rocks or diorama themed bases in Black Templar to bring the Realm of Darkness to life as showing some Grey through the Black to show there is stone flooring under them but the realm is heavily shrouding the area that gives them the best advantage if facing others in their own realm

(Basilicanum Grey & Black Templar are contrast paints in case new painters seeing this)

as the base rims are done in Abaddon Black to keep the theme of darkness realm still intact.

I will be going over the base rims once more sometime when I go over the models to double check them for additional touches that can be applied.

Models look really nice (in an evil twisted way).
I really like the waried sickly skin tones they have, giving them some uniqe features.

Painting the bases black and calling them done sounds like a bad joke. You clearly did some sand/gravel on the big guy, but that only make the other bases look unfinished to be honest.

Ah was mostly effect that the big guy as ripped up the ground over time so its gravelled up the ground under him but I'm hoping to go over them and seeing what I could do as with that one you said I'm probably going to go over the other bases with some extra details so to bring some more stoned ground that hasn't being shrouded in darkness.

Ah thanks too as aimed in making them look paler as if in a very dark place for such long amounts of time would get paler so it shows they have being experiencing environmental effects.

I will look over all bases minus the big guy's as I could be able to possibly place some gravel effect on the other bases where the two contrast paints have blended in sections so to give appearance that more of the stone ground has being damaged and becoming rubble looking over time.

Edit: So was trying to go for an effect on bases that made it look the ground itself was shrouded in darkness and only things at round ankle height was showing through but think now thinking more of what you said too Fayric, think I should of put bit more above darkened shroud rocks so it looks more lived on does the area they are currently in on the base

So being over all the bases by applying some Astrogranite texture paint, going over them with the Basilicanum Grey Contrast and giving them a dry brushing over with Skavenblight Dinge to give them some difference from the darkness shroud base surfaces and the rocks/stone ground emerging.

I might go over the rocky parts in another Grey once bought to some more main grey I use sadly was finished off two weeks ago.

Spoiler:

So now done the bases over but ordering some more paints so if feel the bases stoned sections require extra bit of grey to help i'll try that out moment I get more paint ordered
