I'm in the idea stages of another skirmish warband, and if I end up choosing some Seraphon, I was wondering if any of you folks could tell me if the head and arms joints are compatible between Saurus warriors and Temple Guard? I was thinking of getting a box of Temple Guard and making half of them into normal warriors with Saurus head and weapon arm bits sourced from Ebay.

I've found most things compatible once an Exacto blade & some putty get involved.

But yes, both of these kits should swap bitz pretty easily. If not.... ^

Guard are beefier than warriors. I vaguely remember trying to use the guard halberd as warrior spears but the disparity in the join areas and the beefier parts put me off. Heads were'n compatible (unless you do some additional work I guess). Here's a photo of one next to the other so you can make up your mind

Hey, thanks for the picture! I actually didn't know that the Guard were beefier models, which will be fine for Seraphon anyways. It looks like it just might work, especially if I use the shoulder armor pieces from the Saurus frame to further disguise the join. Or maybe a wrist swap will be in order, instead.

If you're just aiming for a Skirmish warband, look into the Saurus from Blood Bowl. There's been a bit of a trend lately of people converting them into fancy Saurus.

It looks cool, but I'm not sure I could get over the shorts on the Saurus, or the horrible Skinks, lol.

More loincloth than shorts, but I get ya.

Amusingly--the Skinks are basically ignored for the purposes of AoS. It's the Chameleons and Saurus that have been getting all the attention for conversions.

No, the bitz really don't mix. It would look like mixing heroic and truescale bitz, at best.
