I've recently returned to the hobby after many years away. At least something good is coming from this lockdown. I've been adding a few units to my Angels of Fire Space Marines, including this devastator squad. Next up is a techmarine. Ideally, I'd like to paint him a different shade of red, with just the one shoulder guard matching the rest of the army, in a similar way to how I've painted my chaplain and apothecary. I'm slightly concerned that it will just look odd. The black and white armour of the other specialists is an obvious contrast. I think the different shade of red might just look like a bad match? Would I be better off just painting him in the smae shade of red? Any thoughts much appreciated.
