Howdy y'all!
After lots of dabbling and leering and some forays into Kill Team, I am finally starting to play 40k, with Harlequins being my first army. I recently drew up the following 1000 point list using 9th edition points. I'd love to get some feedback!
Shadowseer (115)
Troupe Master (65)
- Embrace (5)
Troupe x 5 (70)
- Caress x 4 (24)
- Fusion Pistol x 4 (20)
Troupe x 5 (70)
- Caress x 4 (24)
- Fusion Pistol x 4 (20)
Starweaver (60)
- Shuriken cannon x 2 (20)
Starweaver (60)
- Shuriken cannon x 2 (20)
Skyweavers x 5 (175)
- Haywire Canon x 4 (75)
- Zephyrglaive x 4 (25)
Solitaire (102 w/ weapons)
- Cegorach’s Rose
Death Jester (50)
- Cegorach’s Lament (1 CP)
- Harvester of Torment
Total: 1000
Some notes / questions:
I'm sort of split in going Frozen Stars for the +1 attack on a charge, or Soaring Spite for the Pistol-as-Assault. The former strikes me as easier to use based on my limited play experience thus far. Thoughts on how these two masques compare? Are Fusion pistols still usable / worth it without Soaring Spite?
Any thoughts on taking a Pivotal Role for the Solitaire, either replacing Blitz (which seems a tough tradeoff) or spending the CP to add one? The -1 to hit from Unnatural Acrobatics seems really nice...
I have one naked Troupe in each unit for a throwaway if/when a Starweaver is killed while transporting.
I'm one point shy of fitting another bike, so I may drop a weapon somewhere to make that happen.
Thoughts on Harvester of Torment versus The Jest Inescapable? Either seem great; I'm not sure how necessary the extra range is with Cegorach's Lament (although the sheer thought of such projection is pretty absurd, especially for sniping characters unexpectedly).
Open to other thoughts, although radical changes to the list may be tough to accommodate. In general I want to try something with a diversity of models and am pretty insistent about running a Solitaire even at this lower point level.
Thanks!
