This is a conquest video mainly but general enough for its own topic. Of course needless to say these are all my opinions and none of them are facts. I put that out there because some people get heated when their favorite systems aren't seen favorably by others.

Interesting I scanned quickly the video (I will watch it sometimes) but are Warmachine, Saga, and Middle Earth SBG mass battle games?
I guess Whfb, Conquest, Kings of War, Oathmark and maybe Aos fit well in that category but the other are skirmish game I would say. Never tried War of the Ring (GW)? It is a real mass battle game.

As I am familiar with many (not all) of these only from reading the rulesets (before Conquest there was only Chronopia for me when it comes to fantasy gaming) it was very interesting to hear a deep analysys of each title. Now I need to find the rules for a Warmaster to check it properly, to see if I would enjoy it as much as you do.
P.S.
Please check your PM - it is about content for the Underspire.

I wasn't going to get too pedantic about what is and is not a mass battle game. Its a game that involves over 30-40 models so I class it as a mass battle game. If its a game that is 10-12 models like Frostgrave, I didn't bother in this video.

Ok I see. I played more or less the same games you did and I must say I overall agree with you.
As you I wasn't able (and I am not) to appreciate Aos and his play style while I loved Warmaster (and his brother Battle of Five Armies).
I probably liked Kow more than you but I must admit I fell in love with Middle Earth SBG (I started when it was called Hobbit, Lotr SBG rebranded) thanks for his elegance and depth (it is a game created by Rick Priestley and reworked by Alessio Cavatore!) and it is surely my favourite system.

Middle Earth is definitely not a bad game. If I lived in an area where that was the only game in town, I would not feel bad investing in it and playing it more. Kings of War is also a great game. As I said in the video that was almost my primary fantasy game until Conquest came along.
