Firstly, I’m not set on the name.
Just kinda slapped that together quick rather than leaving her without one for now.

With the anvil of Apotheosis now in AoS a lot of local players wanted to create their own hero’s.
I decided it was time for a new army anyway so what better way to start than with the leader of my new army.
Essentially everything here was just raided from my bits box as I didn’t really plan anything, just slapped it together as I went.

So, conversion wise, this is how she looked:

I had to stop myself at that point though as I was starting to add a bit too much, so I called the conversion done for then.
Decided that rather than a quick paint job I’d take a bit of time, due to the construction, it was sadly all in 1 piece, so that kind of made things much more difficult.

Elena herself (pretty much done, pending some clean up here and there)

That’s her essentially complete for the time being.
I may go back and clean up odd parts here and there but nothing major.

This morning I finally got the skin done on the lion too, so with that done, I’m at the stage where I can start the fur and then all the details.

So, this is the stage I’m up to.
I’ll update as I go but I plan on taking a bit of time to make sure I’m 100% happy with how she turns out.
Any and all C&C is welcome.

Oh, that's interesting.

Any and all C&C is welcome.

Weeell, if you held a gun to my head I'd say the lion looks a bit nurgley. Though that's mostly my mind filling in the blanks differently, after seeing the bare plastic first.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

That's pretty awesome. The Lady looks great. The lion is off to a good start. The wound across the nose is a lovely touch.

Lione is quite appropriate, and Elena is just a cool name in general. I think it all works.
Awesome conversion approve!
The mount remindeds me of Heroes M&M 6 Putrid lamasu

Very cool. What is the anvil of apotheosis? Is she a Vampire countess (skeleton book stand?)

The Polito form is dead, insect. Are you afraid? What is it you fear? The end of your trivial existence?

I think anvil is something about how Sigmar creates stormcast eternals, something lore something lore, right?

Thanks guys.

I do agree on the nurgle ish look.
Was trying to find a balance between a dead zombie look without pushing too far into nurgle territory as it seems to be a pretty fine line.

Lore wise, I honestly have no idea.
I really don’t dig too deep into the AoS lore any more.
It’s just a new feature added this edition that lets you create custom hero’s for use in games.
The system has a few flaws, but it’s pretty much for fun anyway, would be difficult to make a matched play hero that’s better than standard stuff we get.

Finally some more progress.

Got the fur done to a point I’m happy.
I did try some slightly brighter highlights on it but I found it too distracting and looked really out of place.

Also got the shoulder guards done and some of the accessories around the head area.

Next up is the saddle and accessories, including the book which I have some big plans for.

Initially I was a bit worried as the lion is a very earthy pallet and I didn’t want it to all blend together, but I’m actually happy with how it looks so far.

Great execution, shoulder guards look great - do you mind sharing the recipe so that others may steal it?!?!?!

Really enjoying watching this one develop, and thanks for sharing

Baron, don't forget to talk about the SEALs and Marines you habitually beat up on 2 and 3 at a time, as you PM'd me about.
