Hello everyone,
Does anyone have a good solution for the most flat black color and sealant combo? If this has been answered elsewhere, a link would be great. I've tried a few things, but usually, the matte sealant still gives me more gloss than I want. Also, you're tongue is NOT an appropriate way to clean the paint pot. Looks nice doesn't equate to tastes nice! Now get back to work. That army isn't coming to life on it's own! Many thanks on any input, helpful or useless
So you’re any the blackest black? I have Davies trying some of the paint from here for a while but haven’t yet. No idea how well it would work for mini paint.

I used it on a cloak I wanted to make into a starfield. It just never quite looked right on the model unfortunately. I could see it working well on interiors of a cloak like tneva said, I'll have to give that a shot for something suitably dark.
I've used it on my bases on the other hand, on the rim, and it really makes the rest of the model pop.
Yes, it needs to be thinned quite a bit. I usually use 3-4 coats when thinned, and I'll do it over a regular black paint coat.
For sealing, I use a matte coat, which reduces the black-hole effect. Then I go back over the areas I want dark with another thinned coat of Black 3.0, which makes it suitably blacker-black again. Lots of play will of course wear off that layer of black over time since it's not sealed, but its harder to see that it's happening with the coats under it.
I use black 3.0 for a few things. I've found terrain is where you get the most mileage out of it.
Spoiler:
Here's one I used it on recently, for the cave entrance. You can immediately see the difference between it and a normal black on that piece, with the black 3.0 making it look like the cave goes on for ages into an abyss or something.
