Hi all,

So I've got my first game of 9th coming up, still using 8th points as they last stood because we don't have the field manual yet.

The game plan is to advance up the board with PMs in rhinos, FBDs to flank, while the poxwalkers hang back on a backfield objective. Surgeon with AC as warlord, with the Fugaris' Helm and Mortarian's Chosen Sons plague company upgrade to allow infantry to reroll 1s and 2s for their DR rolls. Plaguecaster has Wormspitter which I feel combos very well with the surgeon.
PMs with blight launchers and champion with a power fist, to be decently shooty but also have a bit of a counter punch.

I was thinking about adding a squad of blightlords and a termie lord, but have instead gone for the drones and poxwalkers - would welcome any and all criticism, but I don't really wanna run PBCs for such a small game.

I'd also really welcome advice as to decent secondaries to go for - this format is entirely new to me so it's going to be an interesting learning experience.

Do you know what your sin is, Malcolm Reynolds?
Ah hell, I'm a fan of all seven.
But right now, I'm gonna have to go with wrath.

A biologus putrifier would be good for the grenades stratagem (it works wonders). Also, miasma of pestilence, combined with putrescent vitality, would make your PM a pain to remove from the board.
As for secondaries, attrition and total domination suits the DG play style.

Hi khornate25,

Thanks for the advice! Miasma is an easy change, and I'm sure I could fit in a putrifier - might have to drop some or all of the poxwalkers, but I could use the leftover points to further upgrade my PMs so that's worth thinking about.

Really appreciate the advice on secondaries - attrition looks doable (esp. with new War of the Spider strats making my PMs a bit killier). Not sure about total domination or engage on all fronts - which looks easier to accomplish for this sort of army.
