Flower Picking Eldar Youth

UK

Hi everyone,

Call me 'Rezzy' for short. You might remember me if you ever frequented Tau Online back in the day (later Second Spere, which still exists but is practically dead).

I collected pretty much every faction pre-7th Ed, but I generally played Eldar/SM, and collected Khornate Chaos/IG for the badass models. I recently discovered the 'Astartes' short film on YouTube and enjoyed it enough to start playing 'Space Marine' again and revisit the DoW2 SM campaign.

I started looking.at the GW site and found myself gravitating towards jetbikes... so now I'm thinking of a hybrid Aeldari / Drukhari / Harlequin jetbike force of Slaanesh hunters. I might do some minor conversions, as I always liked the 80's cyberpunk/glam metal Eldar vibe and I think that would make them less out of place alongside the Harlequins (see the dude rocking the mohawk below). Having done a bit of catching up with the newer lore, I guess they could well be Ynnari...?

About the name, as people sometimes ask...

I came up with 'Restayvien' for a Farseer character I wrote in a series of short fiction pieces when I was younger. It became the name of the Farseer commander of my homebrew Eldar faction 'Yvien'. The gimmick was that the Eldar (Aeldari now, I guess) within clan Yvien would add en, ien, vien, or yvien to their name depending on their rank.

Yvien are a breakway faction of Ulthwe, that were sometimes aided by an Eldar pirate fleet known as the Xunsunh Corsairs, let by Pirate Prince Yurrath.

Anyway, hopefully see you around the forums, and if I do end up getting those jetbikes I'll post 'em up!

Cheers,
Rezzy

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
