I've been working through my backlog of characters and decided to knock out some of these classic metal chaplain sculpts for my Raptors army. I probably won't use them in games, except for maybe the jump pack and storm bolter guy, but I love these old minis so I was happy to get some paint on them.

Comments and criticism welcomed as always!

Pretty good job on the "pignose" storm bolter! The barrel holes are a lot more symmetrical than I've ever managed.

I think my fave is the one in the first picture. Nicely done, especially love the backpack bit (what kit is it from?)

Thanks!

That backpack is from the limited (and now OOP) Reclusiam Command Squad box, which came with the plastic chaplain, command squad, and Razorback. It was repackaged as the Deathwatch Chaplain, which is also now unavailable. It was repackaged again as part of the Space Marine Heroes, which to my knowledge is unavailable as well (at least in the US).

This is the original model it came with (I added the power fist and jump pack):

That's a lot of repackaging and going OOP.

Veeeery nice! Great work on that black/grey, so smooth.
