All,

I am pretty sure I know the answer here, but I would like to double check.

Looking at the CSM Havoc squad, it comes with 5 models to start. They champion has a flamer and the havocs have a heavy bolter or las cannon to start. When I look at the back of the book, havocs are X points per model. Do I need to also add in the flamer, HB, or Lascannon points on top of X points per model?

Yes, you have to pay points for any wargear the model has. Keep in mind you only pay for the final loadout, you don't pay for any items you swapped out.

From page 174 of Codex Chaos Space Marines (emphasis added):

If you are playing a matched play game, or a game that uses a points limit, you can use the following lists to determine the total points cost of your army. Simply add together the points costs of all your models and the wargear they are armed with to determine your army’s total points value.

defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'

That is what I thought, but I just wanted to double check.

Also of note: all the points in the back of the book are incorrect as of 9th edition.

New points are in CHAPTER Approved: munitorium manual.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

And where can I find this? Is this yet another book I need to go get. This is what drove me away last time. Too many supplemental rules located all over the place.

Are the points that far off from the CSM Codex?

Thanks,

The MFM2020 replaces ALL points costs found in all codexes/supplemental books. Sadly, yes, it's another book you need to get. Better to just use Battlescribe and pray the points are correct.

With the supposed change to wounds on Space Marines coming, is this a supplement that is going to be obsolete soon as well?

The points costs in the new SM and Necron codex will override the MFM2020 as it will be a newer publication, but the points costs for other armies will still be in the MFM2020
