So, new show out on Netflix. Made by Mike Flanagan, the same guy who did The Haunting of Hill House.

New setting, new haunt. After binging the 9 episodes, I gotta say I really enjoyed it. I was worried a follow up to Hill House would be a bit of a let down, but this was really great.

Anybody else pick this up on Netflix?

I finished the show last night and loved it, possibly even more than Hill House. I feel like it was even lighter on the horror than Hill House, but the story was excellent. I really liked how most of the horror was there as just a physical manifestation of the trauma for each character. There are no cheap jump scares. It's more disturbing than scary.

Spoiler:
That last episode had me bawling my eyes out. I've been with my partner for 12 and a half years and can't imagine my life without her and that last episode leans hard into losing your significant other. I was a complete mess by the end of it. Loved every minute, just wasn't ready for such an emotional gut punch.
