Right now I mostly play Imperials, however I have a Rebel Navy and I'm eagerly awaiting the Clone Wars fleets to arrive.

I have a buddy who I do enjoy playing games with, but I must admit, his lists utilizing X-Wings, B-Wings he just pummels my ships into Oblivion. I do understand that bombers should be effective, but I rarely kill ANY of these small ships and usually lose half my fleet by the end of our second turn. What am I doing wrong?

It's hard to give exact advice as games vary - but I found a small amount of fighter squadrons backed up with a helpful upgrade on a ship can blunt a swarm coming at you. While they're engaged for a turn you can use anti-squadron fire from your capital ships until his big boys are in range.

Also, remember to play to the scenario and that the game is also over if you lose all your capital ships - fighters don't count.

Yeah, you need some kind of fighter screen. The players I've seen in the different batreps on YouTube (specifically MOTF) tend to use many of the anti-fighter aces as a screen, but that'll be changing soon as the Clone Wars expansions are out as they'll be introducing a limit to the number of aces you can bring.

Playing the scenario is fine, but as I said I typically lose all my ships to the "B-Wing Bomb" by the end of turn three or four. I'll try some fighters, typically I don't bring them at all.

Think right there is your issue, you need to add some fighter squadrons. I know armada is all about big ships, but it is still the fighters and the bombers that is the stars, just like any other capital ship game.

Big ship vs big ship is realy not feasable unless you agree on it beforehand with your opponent.

I like to razz my friend and tell him that if I wanted to play X-Wing, I'd just play X-wing.

Allright, allright, if the imperial raider is not allready in your collection/force, you should get one. It is ment to be an anti fighter/bomber ship, but it can allso do a fair amount of dmg agasint rebel ships.

I've got one, hopefully they will restock soon. My Fighters I &II should be here today, I understand that TIE Phantoms are pretty good, as is Major Rhymer. Hopefully my Interdictor will come in this weekend too.

One raider and a squad should offer you enugh buffer.
For raider you could try instigator title and ordnance experts. (however if you have the upgrade card collection or the assult frigate for the rebellion((or SSD if you are lucky/mad enugh)) you can swap out ordnance for point defence reroute)
For the squad i think mithel and soontir are a better anti squad selection then rhymer.
