Hey, I want to hear what you all think about my army before the supplement drops. As such things might change once the supplement does come around.

BATTALION DETACHMENT
HQ
-Captain: Jump Pack, Storm Shield, Thunder Hammer, Hero of the Chapter (-1 CP), The Imperium's Sword= 140pts
-Librarian Dreadnought: Might of Heroes, Null Zone, Meltagun = 155pts
-Sanguinary Priest: Warlord Jump Pack, Chain Sword, Storm Bolter, Chief Apothecary, Icon of the Angel, Selfless Healer = 135pts

TROOPS
-Incursor Squad (5 men) = 105pts
-Incursor Squad (5 men) = 105pts
-Incursor Squad (5 men) = 105pts
-Incursor Squad (5 men) = 105pts

FAST ATTACK
-Inceptor Squad (3 men): 3 Assault Bolters = 120pts
-Inceptor Squad (3 men): 3 Assault Bolters = 120pts

HEAVY SUPPORT
-Eliminator Squad (3 men): 3 Bolt Sniper Rifles = 90pts

ELITES
-Vanguard Veterans (5 men): Jump Packs, Sergeant + Lightning Claw & Storm Shield, 4 Chainswords, 4 Storm Shields = 133pts
-Vanguard Veterans (5 men): Jump Packs, Sergeant + Lightning Claw & Storm Shield, 4 Chainswords, 4 Storm Bolters = 137pts
-Sanguinary Guard (8 men): 2 Powerfists, 6 Encarmine Swords, 8 Angelus Boltguns = 250pts
-Sanguinary Guard (5 men): 5 Encarmine Swords, 5 Angelus Boltguns = 150pts
-Sanguinary Guard (5 men): 5 Encarmine Swords, 5 Angelus Boltguns = 150pts

=2000 pts

The plan is the Storm Bolter Veterans will follow the Libby as he moves up the board to hunt Elites/Monsters and the Storm Shield Veterans will follow the Priest as he moves into position to support the large squad of SG as they drop & charge Turn 2. The Captain will drop with the 2 Inceptor Squads to support their first round of shooting Turn 2 and then go HQ Hunting while the Inceptors take out troops and secure objectives. Finally, the two smaller SG squads will drop turn 3 where needed to benefit from Savage Echoes.

My reasoning for the two Veteran Squads is because the Libby is so slow and a tempting target I feel he needs some protection in order to make it to CC, and the Storm Bolters will help in preventing the enemy from tarpitting the Libby. While the Priest is so important and stronger the longer he survives but so squishy that he gets the most protection with 5 Storm Shields. The Veteran Squads are the newest additions and the ones I am most unsure about so if you have any recommendations, ideas or critiques about them or anything else I would be very happy to hear them.

Thanks for reading, your awesome!

1) inceptors and eliminators are not our most efficient shooting

2) the libby dread needs biomantic sarcophagus as 12" null zone is broken. Also it could be well worth the points to make it a chief librarian. Also remember you can reserve it if you have trouble walking it that frees up your vanguard for stabbing

3) vanguard really want to replace chainsword with lightning claws if you can find the pointsbit makes them about a 3rd more deadly than chainswords

4) sang guard want axes not swords and fists your ap 2 3 from t3 with axes the extra s will help you more in tough matches such as custodes than the extra ap will

5) I would take an assault terminator squad with lightning claws over the third sang guard squad because with the +1 to hit stratagem and 4 attacks a model they are broken

Thanks for the feedback! I never thought about the sarcophagus and Null zone combo, that's amazing. Can't believe I didn't realize that. Also, I didn't know Terminators were so strong now, I will definitely try to add more of them into my army.

For the veterans (There is a typo, they are meant to be Company Veterans NOT Vanguard), I wanted to keep them cheap seeing as thier main goal is to be bullet sponges, also trying to find that many lightning claws is going to be a pain, you think just using a powerfist and gluing on some toothpicks would work Thanks again for the feedback, it really helped me out.

Terminators are great as a one off especially on t3

5 Man squad is 31A hitting on 2s Wounding strength 4 with +1to W and rerolling (55% vsT8 and better vs anything lower) at AP3 will outperform sang guard against most targets

In that case your list is illegal - despite what battlescribe currently says and what they could do previously - company veterens lost the ability to take jump packs in the new SM codex

If you want the jump packs they need to be vanguard veterens same weapon loadouts but no longer bodyguards

Aw, that's a shame but thanks for letting me know. Now I hope they get jump packs in the supplement, but for now I can swap then out for Vanguard Vets. I even get to keep the gold helmets
