Reasonably new here and i was wondering something. (If this has allready been answered can you please show me where? I couldnt find it)
I dont understand how to get views and/or votes on dakkadakka. I have been a regular visitor on cmon and there you have a clear overview from the latest minis, over here it works differently i noticed. Or am I wrong?
Do visitors have to actively search by hashtag? or should you create a forumpost for each upload? Through the forums is the only way i have had any luck on getting some traffic. I am kinda lost on how to navigate on this platform and would like to get to know how to use it properly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You upload your image in your personal gallery, fill out the details and post it to your album, may need to create a new album since you’re new. If your image isn’t yours, then vote option are disabled. You can see the averages of votes beyond 5 votes.

While the gallery system here has a voting system like CMoN, it's not really the primary focus. The gallery is really intended more as a resource for sharing images in your posts on the forums.

High voted images are shared to the Gallery front page and on the Dakka homepage, and a selection will also be shared on the Dakka facebook feed, but otherwise people will generally come across your images either by searching for tags or votes, or through the random image voting display. As you appear to have found, unless your images are receiving a lot of high votes, that generally means you'll get more views on the forums than by just uploading to the Gallery alone.
