Few of my friends have taken up the hobby and convinced me to re-join, They are playing Tau, space wolves and Dark Angels.
Know nothing about 40k really and think the Tyrranids look cool and fun to play.
Quick question will the start collecting box give me enough to play a game?

Welcome fellow Tyranid fan. Start collecting box will give you a very small force but it is suffcient to learn the rules and see if you like the experience. Also you can use Genestealers and Broodlord to play a Kill Team.
