Hi everybody!

Returning to the hobby after a few years out. Last edition I played was 7th - wow there are some changes aren't there!!?

I haven't played the new rules just yet but am currently putting a force together and doing my reading.

Previously I played CSM Nurgle - my army was built for CC play more than anything. Even small units of plague marines tore through most gaunt units with little effort.

Anyway, now pushing 30 years old and starting from scratch, I have a bit more free time and thought I would try a taste of something different.

Always been a fan of the look of Eldar armies so I picked up a few unpainted bits second hand last week. Reading through their latest codex as we speak to get a better flavour for how to play them effectively, but this isn't the easiest as i'm not familiar with the latest ruleset... any advice welcome.

Paid £80 for the following:

1 Farseer with 4 warlocks
2 units of 10 guardians
6 fire dragons
3 wind riders
1 Wave serpent

I did enjoy a bit of CC so would like to add a couple of units that can bring an element of this. Wraithblades and banshees look interesting...
I'm also planning to pick up another wave serpent down the line at some stage.

Anyway yeah, i guess my main question (other than welcoming general advice) is how to play Eldar well in 9th edition.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
