Subject: Attilan Regminetal Doctrine (aka I miss my rough riders)

Storm Trooper with Maglight

Purely for fun, I've been thinking of what could be done with my poor Legends rough riders. DKoK death riders seem to have a decent reputation nowadays as they can have officers and other buffs. So how could this be done with the regular codex/legends Rough Riders...
***I know this will never happen except in friendly campaigns, but one can dream...***
Regimental Doctrine - Attilan
Born in the Saddle
Cavalry units with this Doctrine gain "Core" and "Objective Secured" Keywords. Cavalry unit count as Infantry for the purpose of "Voice of Command". Company Commanders, Platoon Commanders, and Command Squads gain the "Cavalry" and "Rough Rider" keywords and are equipped with "Trampling Hooves" in addition to their other war gear and M of 10".
Warlord Trait
Khanasan's Fiercest - Your Warlord and Attilan Cavalry within 6" always count as having charged in the fight phase and Trampling Hooves add 1 to their strength
Heirloom of Conquest
Cyber-Steed of Mogul Kamir - Cavalry Only - Increase the models toughness to 4 and add 1 to Strength
Additional Order[/u]
TBD - TBD

Or...just let Rough Riders benefit from Regiment rules as is. Not all of them are SUPER helpful but they aren't exactly hurting either.

Warlord Trait seems too good, with the Hunting Lances. 10 PPM for two wounds and a S5 AP-2 Dd3 attack, plus a S3 AP0 D1 attack and a S4 AP0 D1 attack...
I dunno. Feels a little much.

There should also be a cost adjustment dir Company Commanders etc. And the Command squad should gain another wound per model (for fitting points cost)
But in general I also think this regimental traits are really in the strong side

Yeah the Warlord trait does seem a bit on the too good side. Maybe something like +1 to hit in a turn they charged, or reroll misses in melee after a charge perhaps.
For a Stratagem:
Run them Down (1CP)
"Never turn your back on an Attilan, you may just end up with a Lance in it"
Use this Stratagem whenever an enemy unit in engagement range of an ATTILAN CAVALRY unit attempts to Fall Back. Before the enemy unit moves that ATTILAN CAVALRY unit may immediately fight as if it were the Fight phase, with a -1 penalty on their to hit rolls.
Though I do agree it would be nice to have the Cavalry option returned to the guard.
