I have a decent sized imperial guard force and decided to start a second army as Alpha Legion love the colour scheme, what lore there is available to the legion and the mix of adaptive tactics with pre-planning subterfuge and sabotage.

All Mark of Slaanesh as it's a bit more streamline for me as a new army and as the codex stands one of the better marks for shooting army. Was looking at the faith and fury daemon weapon Rapacious Talons for the Daemon prince, but hydra wail seems pretty useful. Faceless Commander and unholy fortitude seemed like decent options for warlord traits as well. Was also thinking about messing with my troops a bit to get a jumpack for my sorcerer.

My goal is to play all painted so here's what I currently own labelled as painted or unpainted.
30 Cultists painted
Dark apostle painted (No minions, kitbashed guy)
Space Marine Sarge with chainaxe, plasma pistol (loadout from the box), painted

Hellbrute - Magnetized unpainted
10 Chaos marines including heavy bolter, champion with powerfist and another plasma rifle (mk IV armour guys) unpainted
Master of Possessions unpainted
Second kitbashed Daemon Prince in progress need wings so project on pause.
5 Chaos Terminators in box. Small rant got frustrated with lack of chainaxes talking to my buddy to 3d print some bits for me and maybe use some cut up imperial guard plasma rifles for combi-plasma. But had no idea how stingy GW was with weapons options in a 5 man kit that's $70 full price.

I like the idea of the Age of sigmar dryads as creepy possessed for my army and they come in a pretty big unit size for the price.

Anyways that's about it for now, going to focus painting what I still have unfinished before going down anymore rabbitholes for now. Or at least that's what I tell myself. Any general thoughts on the overall list, I know Greater Possessed aren't super efficient but the list itself is my painted ready to go stuff. I think the hellbrute will make for a solid addition when I finish painting him and his attachments. Chaos termies I was looking forward to until I opened up the box now I'm just trying to get bits for them. I mostly play garagehammer with my buddies so yeah it's competitive in a beer and pretzels kinda way, but usually don't go too crazy in the list building itself.
