I just finished assembling my redemptor into his four main pieces to prepare for priming, and there are two parts of the model I am in general not so happy about from a build perspective. One is the flaps over the sarcophagus, the top of which just slides into a slot it can be tilted around in, so it can easily fall out. The other is the arm with the hand, of which the joint lowest to the hand is rather fragile in that it is not locked together like most of the other joints (the Invictor Warsuit is very similar to the Redeptor, but didn't have this issue). Moving the hand about tends to loosen the join and it will come apart. I am about to glue this joint and the lid in place where I like them (I'm okay with sacrificing the ability to show off the sarcophagus). I like that they can be moved, and am quite happy with how well designed the kit is, except for these two things. Has anyone else made this decision? Do people tend to fix these joints together anyways for resiliency?

I didn't glue them, and only the rotating arm joint in the Redemptor gave me any trouble. Both that I've built had no problems getting the front plates to stay in the open or closed position just with friction fit.

A little trick is to rough up the surface (in the machinist world there's a process called knurling that's used for tightening fits as a quick fix). Then paint. Keep adding paint layers until it's maybe just a little tighter fit than you'd like, because it'll wear.

Another trick I've used is to wedge some blu-tac into the joint.

Still another fix is to use Sprue-Goo (this is a made up name ). Look up the Vince Venturella video -- it's essentially extra sprue plastic mixed 1 to 1 with tamiya extra thin (or any other extra thin plastic cement). You can then brush it on and essentially you are "painting" on extra plastic. This stuff is the ultimate gap filler as well. Anyway, you can use this to build up the joint surfaces for a tighter fit.

I glued the front plate and arms in place on mine. Just the elbows I left moveable. I don't foresee myself needing to move those parts around in-game.
