Brave? Insane? Plain idiotic? A combination of all 3?

I have always loved R+H as a faction: tonnes of character, flavour and customisability. I'm planning on running a pure infantry R+H list, capitalising on a silly volume of bodies backed up by cheap psyker support and a handful of elite units.

I'm well aware this is objectively the worst faction in the whole of 40k, so I'm not expecting Harlequin and Custodes-level competitiveness.I just want something unexpected, fun, and capable of holding its own in friendly games.

The game plan is simple. Big blobs of cultists and mutants move up the board with leadership support from the Renegade Commander (hooray for Inspiring Leader!), 3 Enforcers and the Banner of Hate from a Renegade Command Squad. The min Cultist squads and autocannon Renegade Command Squads sit in the back, hold objectives and start blastin'. Psykers throw out Smites like gifts at an Oprah show, and the melta Marauders are in SR (gotta use those CP somehow) for some sneaky late-game charges and tank removal.

drop the mutants, they are seriously overpriced at 7ppm.

I'd go for cultists instead.

Alternatively, i'd go for a brigade, chaos spawn and hwt's help out quite well for the army.

Msu militia / cultists may make enforcers obsolete but also make morale a non issue. So you can save the pts there and instead hand out more banner carriers which you'll need if you intend to get stuck in.
