I have just finished painting up my Commander Shadsowsun. The rest of my army uses the T'au Sept desert colours so she has chosen to forgo her usual white suit so that she doesn't stand out to enemy snipers if her stealth field fails:
Accompanying her are her two drones. After a not insignificant amount of research I worked out which one is which. First up is her MV37 Advanced Guardian Drone:
Followed by her MV62 Command-link Done.
Shadowsun also has some added protection from a Tidewall Shieldline:
Here they are all together. Shadowsun really liked perching on that Imperial rubble so she made some Earth Caste haul it up there for her. Also in the shots, 327 stealth suits teams.
I still feel likely I barely know what I am doing in terms of painting but I discovered a new technique for the ochre areas. I wanted to dull down the yellow using a wash of brown ink but I guess I watered it down to much because it ended up drying really blotchy. By painting over it again with water I was able to clean it up to leave an interesting grainy effect.
Enjoy.
