Lets talk about forward deploy units. Which armies have them and how effective they are. If i miss something let me know and I'll update.
MARINES: Incursors, Infiltrators, Scouts, Tactical Warsuits, phobos characters?
Aeldari: rangers
CD: nurglings
Necrons:
Tyranids:
Dark Aeldari: Mandrakes
Ad-mech:
Custodes:
Knights: NOT GONNA HAPPEN
Orks:
Tau: Stealth Suits, Big Stealth Suit
CM:
Harlequins: DONT NEED EM
Death Guard:
Thousand Sons:
Grey Knights:
SoB:
Genestealer Cult:
As for who needs them:
Custodes needs their Epharoi assasin guys as forward deploy units. Its a slow army (other than the bikes who cant advance and charge) It also lacks unit count for board control.
Tyranids. Why cant lictors forward deploy with blips? seems like a no brainer tbh.
ORKS: Why cant there be roaming packs of squigs forward deployed? Cheap swarm unit so wont be really hard to get off objectives, but gives them some fluffy speed bumps.
Admech: Should definately be able to toss at least 2 servo skulls out ahead to detect threats. Mabey give them an action to either remove cover from a unit or make deep strike 12".
Necrons: Mini-pylons should definately be forward deployers (make them officially fortifications and let them deploy outside of regular deployment zone).
