Brand new to EC. Thought this would let me use some of the stratagems psychic powers for good shooting, with enough bodies to screen/contest objectives. Really wanted the large unit of noise marines and the 3x obliterators for big shooty shooty. The noise marines also count as troops, and the hellbrute counts as a sonic dread.

Hi warpedpig, I am also new to some stuff here. Trying to make a Word Bearers army. Also If you could tell me how you paste your army list from Battlescribe I would like to know.

Here are my thoughts on your list.

1. Does your Daemon have to many Relics? I don't see a cost for CP extra relics (also not sure if 1 HQ can have more than 1 relic). Intoxicating Elixir and Rapacious Talons.
2. Dark Apostle gets 1 extra psychic (Benediction or Illusory Supplication and he gets Blissful Devotion from Slannesh (free) Also you have no Disciples(10pnts) so he will be rolling 3+ for Psychic instead of 2+
also how did he get an artifact black mace? 1CP for relic and get black mace and remove intoxicating elixier?

I'm guessing your Sorcerer goes with 1 terminator squad to hit back targets. and then warp time to get into charge( my list has similiar but only 1 squad) . and your other terminator squad is utility for what you need, back targets control point, or heavy support vehicles. etc. I would consider taking a squad with more melta to hit hard targets and do more wounds and the other with the plasma.

Your Obliterators are combi heavy hitters and to wipe out large squads with endless cacophony (I have same thing) good multi purpose unit but expensive.

Your Helbrute is to hold mid maybe the chaos spawns or cultists are screening the helbrute? and the Dark APostle is to buff them with illusary supplication? and then melee if someone approaches?

Chaos Rapier are back line range and your cultists are back line utility? Not sure what you are doing with the Daemon price? who is he going with to screen him since he flys 12" or is he a base counter attack for mid.

Noise marines are a good unit but be careful of blast since its more than 5 units.

Im glad you mentioned all that because this is just an idea for a list. I havent played it yet. I am getting the models prepared.

On the app version of battlescribe theres 3 dots on the top of the roster that lets you copy it to clipboard, and it lets you choose forum format.

I planned on having the Demon prince and sorcerer move up with the noise marines / obliterators and cast buffs on them. The cultists capture backfield and just push in on all fronts to get into as many objectives and quarters of the board as I can. Theyre disposable meat bags.

The Terminators deep strike and try to pop high value threats.

Noise marines do the usual shoot twice, or the obliterators, whichever has the juiciest threats to unload on. The Helbrute is actually just a points equivalent of a Sonic Dread.

If my friends let me, for thematic reasons, ill replace the cultists with a bunch of crazy adult themed demon models I printed that are half demon, half naked woman. Theyre pretty awesome lol.

The noise marines count as a Troop choice in an Emp's Children army.

Dump one of your chaos spawn for a second blastmaster. The blastmaster is a key weapon in the army.

For a little extra point wise you'll probably be better served by using Noise Marines with pistol and chain sword over chaos cultists. The Noise Marines also have more attacks and better armor (IIRC). All Noise marines have the ability to get one last shot off after they are killed. You can pay for the difference by dropping the remaining spawns.

If you're going to have your daemon prince lead an assault you may want to consider giving him the spell daemonic strength and giving him the artifact repulsive rainment. The artifact will allow him to reroll all failed hits and wounds as well as charge rolls.You may also want to consider giving him the warlord ability Glutton for punishment. It reduces damage by 1 with a min damage of 1.

Both the artifact and warlord trait can be found in Psychic Wars: Faith and Fury. If you haven't read it then you really should find it and take a look it has a lot of help for an Emp's Children player.
