Greetings folks,
So I've been thinking about what I'd like to see in a new Nighthaunt codex, and I thought I would open up the discussion to see what other people would have for a "Nighthaunt Wishlist".
A few random ideas:
1) Automatic resurrection: a universal rule that just automatically returns some of your dead haunts to you at the end of a turn/round or whatever. This gets rid of the "must have" nature of soul-lanterns and such. Obviously, we could find a new use for them and all that... but essentially, I want to have it just be that the haunts can just keep coming back (personally, I find it quite thematic).
2) More monsters: pretty standard idea. Give us something aside from the one big-bad forge-world model. I'm not sure what, exactly, but something would be nice to have.
3) More weakness to magic: This one is perhaps a pretty weird concept, as it's actually a WEAKNESS and not a buff... but perhaps something like x2 damage from magic that inflicts mortal wounds or something similar. Make it so that magic is a great counter to the haunts.
4) The ability to take more leader units: Not sure how this would work, but just some ability so that we can have perhaps one leader unit per battleline unit and allow for the playstyle of hordes surrounding the tough dudes. I don't know, frankly, I have found in my limited games that I'm ALWAYS wanting to take more leaders than I have room for, and so I would want something to address this.
5) More options relating to leadership: Not sure what, exactly, so this idea is a bit loose. Ghosts and terror and leadership all seem to go together well, so I'd like to see more options towards either messing with leadership or having leadership matter more. This one could obviously use some more thought (hey, if YOU have a suggestion here I would like to hear it!)
...
That's about it right now! How about you, do YOU have any Nighthaunt wishlist ideas?
