Hello,

at the moment in the Games Workshop in my city we are doing a "Path to Glory" campaign.

I participate with my Seraphon, starborne Dracothion's tail. I have the white dwarf n°469.

Reading it I wonder how I go about increasing the number of wizard / priest / hero?

somebody knows ?

Two ways:
1) In the beginning, when you choose your initial starting territory, choose the one that allows you to have an additional wizard/priest/hero. There's a different one for each, so choose carefully.
It doesn't change the total # of starting units, just changes the beginning option from 0-1 to 0-2.

2) As you play you might discover new territories that'll allow you to increase the #s allowed.
But you'll need to have enough Glory Points to spend (10 if I recall) to add that territory to your roster. The initial increase is +1.
Once added, for even more Glory, you can eventuall upgrade it to allow another +?

Of course in order to actually add these extra Wizards etc to your roster you'll need open Barrack space.
If you don't have that space (say you maxed out your initial # of units like most in my group did) then you'll need to build another barracks(+5 Glory). Wich will require you to 1st upgrade your fortress (+30 or more glory)....
The alternative is that you could replace a unit with the new Wizard or whatever.

Thank you for your answer.

But, this is usually. In white dwarf 469 it is written that the effects of standard territories are ignored (only starborne)

Do Starborne interact with the roster at all? I thought they generated their army list per battle (and thus never gained unit XP or anything) and thus weren't beholden to roster restrictions.

I'm on a podcast about (video) game design:

Seraphon units that do not have the "Hero" keyword are not recorded on your army's "order of battle". Instead, when choosing your army for a battle, you can include up to one Seraphon unit that does not have the "Hero" keyword for each of your Astromatrix points.

This is what is written in the white dwarf.

For the units I understood. But for the heroes ...

Oh. That... sounds almost unplayable. Without being able to add extra Wizards & Priests you are going to get tore up magic-wise. I rarely pick up a WD, and that issues not one of the few I have. But I would not have expected that.

Good luck.
