Subject: D# Mortal Wounds counts as a "damage roll" for Command Reroll?

Use this Stratagem after you have made a hit roll, a wound roll, a damage roll, a saving throw, an Advance roll, a charge roll, a Psychic test, a Deny the Witch test or you have rolled the dice to determine the number of attacks made by a weapon. Re-roll that roll, test or saving throw.
Is the random d3 or d6 damage for offensive spells eligible for a command reroll?

D3 or D6 Mortal Wounds roll is not a "Damage Roll"
A Damage roll is when you are determining a random damage characteristic. MW's do not have a random damage characteristic. (They just do 1 damage multiple times).
Rules terms glossary P.365 tells us this.

Seems like " D6 mortal wounds" would count as a RANDOM roll, right?
weird. Automatically Appended Next Post: Is there an FAQ that says directly that you can't reroll psychic damage?
Saying that you can't reroll a damage roll because the damage mechanics work differently doesn't make sense to me.

But it’s not a damage characteristic of a weapon.

Saying that you can't reroll a damage roll because the damage mechanics work differently odoesn't make sense to me.
The amount of mortal wounds inflicted by a psychic power (or a vehicle explosion, or whatever) is not a damage roll. It is a roll to determine the number of mortal wounds inflicted.
Just because it is cosmetically similar (random roll, I lose wounds equal to the number rolled) does not mean it is the same.

MW are individual attacks with a Damage of 1 each, hence not being able to reroll.
The current iteration of the game leaves *some* unreliability! Not everything is rerollable!

Of course it is a random roll, but it is not a "damage characteristic"
