Night scythe.

Designed to be very flexible on deployment.

You could spend 1 cp to put both units of immortals into reserves, 2 cp to put praetorians and 5 immortals and 3 cp for the nightscythe, praetorians and all 10 immortals into reserves. Skorpekh can ride for free of course.

If you come across a terrible matchup for the nightscythe it can still be great for moveblocking, maybe some shots on a character or screen clearing.

Could pregame move skorpekh into it if you’re worried about alpha strike.

If your immortals are in reserve for “rod” you could always bring them on with a teleport if it would swing a central objective, not reliant though because walking into a corner is still fine.

If it’s empty and the praetorians arnt waiting to port out then your opponent won’t really have a reason to kill it and you can just use it to be obnoxious.

I’m loving the wraith rocket turn one.

Scarabs mostly need to backfield zone and be great objective sitters/stealers.

Nightbringer is the problem solver.

RIP cryptothralls.

I feel the Chronomancers don't have enough targts. Its mostly the Skorpeks and the scarabs.

Immortals can do the new Retrieve, which is good.

I kind of would prefer Anrakyr with the Praetorians.

Hey thanks for the feedback.

You may be right about the chronomancers. The first edition of the list had 2 units of cryptothralls instead of one of the immortal squads. just like that cryptothralls go from mvp to dnp.

Anrakyr is pretty cool (had to give a second look) the extra attack for core units could be super clutch except that all my melee threats are outright fast or are playing deployment games.

I suppose an 8” move isn’t too much more than his 6”, especially if he only wants to advance and they don’t. Staying within 6 after they charge though could get dicey.

Mind in the machine sounds pretty dope but I’m wondering how often you’ll get to use it. Could spend a cpl turns trying to get close to a vehicle only to whiff on the leadership roll.

Why does he have an extra strength and wound? Strength 8 warscythe but still only the 4 attacks so not like you’ll be able to count on killing something, other than marines equivalents.

He’s about the same price as a ccb so you had better be handing out extra attacks to something that actually gets to swing.

No phaeron which I don’t care about in this list.

No relics.

The points would work out fairly easily I would just have to scrap both the chronos or the ccb. Neither option is particularly tasty..? I guess the ccb could go, he had the flexibility to go be where he wants for objectives, anrakyr would have to get attached to a unit and hope for the best. The ccb is a valuable asset on its own and anrakyr is counting on a lot of things going well to get his points back.

I feel like I need a chrono hanging back with the scarabs and one being aggressive with a melee threat. Skorpekh, praetorians and scarabs all love love love their 5++ and the reroll charges.

Kind of a must have for skorpekh imo.

Thanks for the shout, I’ll have to build a list around anrakyr and szeras sometime, praetorians would wra wra wreck stuff.

Opinions?

No chrono buff for the praetorians. They are taking some adjusting to.

The Reroll charges is not a Problem because you can get it from most HQs via Nobility incl. Anrakyr. His appeal could be having lots of Lychguard around him.

Szeraz is good with Praetorians, he can buff them nicely. Orikan could buff Praetorians, but he costs a lot.
