So, when choosing a deathwatch Proteus Killteam, do you have access to the wargear options listed under the various data sheets for deathwatch veterans, deathwatch terminators, veteran bikers and vanguard veterans?

If I choose to add 5 deathwatch terminators, would they all be armed with a storm bolter and powerfist with no option to take , for example, a heavy flamer?

There might be some neunances I am missing, so please excuse me if I come of as rude. But did you look it up before you asked? And unless you are seeking a community, it is it faster to just look up?

If you are seeking a comunaty the YMDC gives very bad results. On the YMCA scale, I would rank it quite low. You can try other parts of the forum. Those I would rank much higher for companionship and cameradery.

If you are going down the Terminators and mixed rout flamers are cool. (Assault cannons are also cool.) But if do 5 Terminators and combat squad them, the cyclone missile launcher looks good.

Edit: I realize I come of as unessasereily snarky. But many enough use the forum as an excuse to not buy the rules. However, I pat myself on the back for that YMDC and YMCA scale joke that I stil feel good about it.

I am not sure where your clip is from..it looks as if it's just the deathwatch supplement deathwatch terminator squad datasheet...

I am not sure if that's an applicable source to answer this question. The Proteus kill team specifies you can add up to 5 deathwatch terminators. It does not mention a deathwatch terminator squad . It does not mention wargear options as the other kill teams do.

So the question stands. Can the terminators take wargear options per the deathwatch terminator squad datasheet or must they be armed as standard Terminators?

If you believe they can be armed with the wargear options in the deathwatch terminator datasheet, can you please point to any evidence that says this belief is correct.

The general rules for Kill Teams includes a section titled Wargear what clearly outlines the availability of the wargear options from each datasheet for models in a Kill Team. The Proteus Kill Team also clearly tells you to refer to the Deathwatch Terminator Squad when adding Terminators to the Kill Team.

So assuming you have the supplement, the questions are answered there.

The app also makes it explicit that you can equip up to 3 terminators with heavy weapons (including the cyclone launcher), is that official enough for you?

To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

Yeah, p51 of the Deathwatch Codex, paragraph titled "Wargear" makes it clear how to equip your units. Note that in some cases (Terminators and Veteran Bikers, for example) you use the datasheet int he DW Codex and in others (such as Vanguard Veterans) you use the datasheet in the SM Codex for their options.

Perfect. I glossed over that somehow. Thanks.
