I recently got my first vindicare assassin from my LGS. I want to remove the models legs, replace them with tentacle-like prosthetics, and then mount him sideways on the pillar with his upper body oriented upright.
I have some general ideas of how to do this, but I don't know where to begin or what methods to use to make this model. I am pretty new to kitbashing and sculpting, any advice would be great.

This is a great tool for making tentacles. I've never had an issue with Greenstuffworld.

Alternatively, you can 3D print a tentacle maker.

I do some sculpting so I can tell you how I’d go about it.

I’d cut some lengths of brass wire and twist them together at one end. Drill a hole into your assassin torso and glue it in.

Give the wire tentacles a thin layer of greenstuff, when it’s half set bend them into whatever position you want. Let them set into that position.

Once set attach the whole thing to the upright thing it’s clinging to then give the tentacles a final layer of greenstuff with texture and suckers and claws or whatever.

You’ll need a metal sculpting tool and probably a colour shaper (rubber tool) to get a nice smooth tentacleish finish. If you find the greenstuff is sticking to you or your tool just wet the tool or your finger and it’ll not stick.
