LVO 2022 took place last weekend with a big winner in 40k. Man is greater than an army.
Spoiler:
From Goonhammer:
40k ITC 2021 + LVO Champion: Richard Siegler
After some discussion about whether he’d even be at the event, Siegler showed up to little fanfare, then proceeded to tear through 8 rounds of 40k opponents before finally facing off against Matt Lorah’s Custodes in the final round. But regardless of the outcome, Siegler had already locked up the #1 finish in the ITC thanks to Mani Cheema, John Lennon, Brad Chester, and Malik Amin Rubio dropping games on day 2. The only player who stood a reasonable chance of beating Siegler in the standings was Anthony Vanella, and he lost to Siegler in round 7 after fighting his way out of the Shadow Round. Even with a win over Siegler, Vanella’s chances of a #1 ITC finish were slim, but he still put up an impressive showing and a hell of a season. Congrats, Anthony!
Siegler’s final match against Lorah’s Custodes looked to be a tough one going in but ultimately Siegler managed some brutal swings mid-game to seal things up, wiping a Bike Captain and Trajann off the board in the same turn and closing things out 97-67. Matt played a hell of an event, and a second place finish is nothing to sneeze at – it’s an incredible run that included big wins over James Kelling, Raphaël (Bizuthor) Jaffre, and Alex Macdougall. Congrats, Matt!
This is Siegler’s second ITC Championship for 40k, and he’s impressively managed to win the ITC with only the minimum number of events played (6). Siegler is the first repeat ITC champion after missing most of the 2020 season thanks to COVID shutting down most events. We’ll have an interview with Siegler in the next week or two, so stay tuned for that.

Like I said in the AdMech thread, that list was potentially illegal assuming it was not just BoLS being bad at transcribing things.
None of his Rangers or Vanguard were listed as "Veterans"--which is mandatory for the Army of Renown. And it's +2PPM for Vanguard and Rangers...or +1PL for every 10 models in a unit.
I mean, I would assume that too...but I just always will remember that nobody spotted a Cadian Detachment led by a Primaris Psyker with a Cadian Relic in 8E.

This might be Battlescribe's stupid fault. It's supposed to be clearly marked--because you can literally pick between "Veteran" and non-Veteran profiles on GW's lil' free bit on the stupid Community webpage.
Also, he takes stupid numbers in his units. Either Battlescribe separates the Alphas out and he's taking 5 models in his Vanguard or he's taking 4 models for understrength ones.
Battlescribe does separate the Alphas out, he's taking units of 5. No clue about the Veterans thing, since I hate Battlescribe, it's ugly interface, it's ugly output, etc and don't play Admech so I'm very very far removed by how BS would output that stuff.
219 points for a unit of 19 Rangers + omnispex is the correct price for veterans.
I think this is a naming presentation issue as, in battlescribe, you select the Veteran Cohort option and it just increases the points for the unit rangers
1. Not being able to read a battlescribe list, lmao.
2. You have to make all Rangers/Vanguard veterans if you take the AoR, there is no choice.
3. Power level on Rangers/Vanguard was changed after the event in an FAQ.
