I'm brand new to the game and setting up my first 500 point Alpha Legion Army. Here's what I've got so far, and I would appreciate some help filling it out with additions and/or replacements:

+ HQ +

Chaos Lord in Terminator Armour [6 PL, 100pts]

+ Troops +

10 Chaos Space Marines [8 PL, 120pts]

+ Elites +

5 Terminators [8 PL, 140pts]

+ Fast Attack +

5 Raptors [5 PL, 80pts]

++ Total: [27 PL, 440pts] ++

or with only 5 CSM

++ Total: [23 PL, 380pts] ++

A Helbrute would slide pretty nicely into that last 120, but I'm totally open to suggestion.

List looks solid for 500, and a helbrute would give you some much needed anti-tank!

At 500pts it’s worth noting Cultists are cheap and hold an objective just as well as marines do, and they’ll be useful when you scale up for filling out slots
Alternatively consider doubling down on raptors if you like them enough to see play, some fluffy lists based around Haarken of the Black Legion look good
