Some where in the Canadian deathlands

A fully intact/free C'Tan god was thrown into the warp?

All of the intact C'tan are having tea with the Emperor.

I thought c’tan didn’t have a presence in the warp, aren’t they very materium based creatures

A rock doesn't have a presence in the warp, put it can still get stuck in there.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
We've seen C'tan shards last ~60 million years without a food source (Nightbringer). Presumably a fully intact C'tan could last just as long if not significantly longer.

Eventually they might just get ejected back into reality in the same manner as space hulks.

In 3rd edition, a hit from a wraithcannon wouldn't transport a c'tan into the warp, but that was probably more of game mechanic to avoid instant death (Eternal Warrior didn't exist yet) than anything else.

Indeed they are very "material" as energy beings with no real physical form. The Old Ones' ability to wield the Warp was one of the biggest issues for the C'tan during the War in Heaven. They'd probably just show up and nothing else would happen, maybe atomise a couple hundred worlds and thousands of mortals/daemons. Probably whinge about it for a while then just find a way out.

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

They'd be pretty well and truly stuck. They could defend themselves easily enough from the inhabitants, but it wouldn't be very pleasant for them. And without any psychic ability the C'tan couldn't do anything to go back to reality. They'd be stuck waiting for someone with that ability to come along and let them back through.

I suppose a C'tan might over time lose its power and drain away in the Immaterium/go even crazier, though maybe not as time isn't relevant to them in real space and its definitely not relevant in the Warp.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

their body would die, the necrodermis can be damaged relatively easier with Demonic weapons or warp tech than other conventional weapons, the warp dissolves matter when exposed in the warp and there is nothing to indicate the necrodermis would be immune to this.

as for the essence of the being in the warp, we do not know, my guess that due to its material nature eventually it would also break down at the molecular level and "die"

U.k

This is a conversation about what would happen if something with powers we can’t understand and don’t really know about was thrown into an existence we can’t comprehend that obeys none of the laws or rules we know of.

The only answer is….I dunno.

They would die. They have no protection against the warp, no gellar field, no psy power, nothing, they are all but naked to the power of the Immaterium. It's their nemesis, necrons and chaos are pretty much on the opposite side of the stick. Everything that is material, especially living and conscious, isn't supposed to be in the warp

And yet material, living, conscious characters have been shown to be able to enter, interact within, and exit the warp (relatively) fine.
