Hey all,

Our group have dipped into BB Sevens over the last few months and are absolutely loving it. I'm finding that I struggle to 'at a glance' discern my Elven Union figurines on the table top though. I'm planning on putting some coloured stripes on the bases to identify the positional players. My question... Is there an unspoken standard for this (Red=Blitzer, Black=Catcher, etc...). I could easily make one up myself but wondered if one had developed within the community over the years.

Cheers

From The NAF:

Base Colours

If models are quite similar, people often use the 2nd edition colour system:

Green – Blocker
Red – Blitzer
Yellow – Catcher
White – Thrower
Grey – Lineman

You can just about see them here.

Some people also did black for special positions or starplayers.

Huh. I never knew that. I thought I was being clever when I color coded my Blitz Bowl figs and added color coded stickers to the player cards.

My scheme is:

Green = Linemen
Red = Blitzer
Yellow = Catcher
Blue = Blocker
White = Runner
Purple = any player that doesnt fit a mold, like mummys, heftys, troll slayers, etc.

Well, I guess good ideas are not singular, but communally synchronous.

That is the old 2nd edition 'astrogranite' (polystyrene) board.
