Pretty low hanging fruit I'd say, at least it's not completely dead. And I'll have to buy a Venator now.

Amusingly AMG had to patch it right away, the new Vader squadron was very broken in the first version.

I mean it's better than a card/cardboard pack that people have to buy.

I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy.

Don't they knew you're supposed to put rules updates in $50 hard covers that will be obsolete in 6 months?

Of course not, that's why they're not the biggest wargaming miniature company on the planet.

I wonder if these were developed under FFG before the switch over. Could have been intended to go with some repaints.

Well I have both a Chimera and the republic starter box, so a venator seems all but mandatory for me now. Which is good because I love them.

Also victories with SPHA-T have some potential...

I am going to guess that they probably weren't. The fixes to things in Legion like Vader, changing Low Profile and the Clone Trooper keyword, the Anakin buffs, ect. have all been helmed by AMG. And even a large portion of the upcoming Shadow Collective has been hit with changes since AMG was given control.

I mean, shoot, AMG has even massively changed X-Wing (for better or for worse) during this time.

This is probably them figuring out the direction they want to start taking the game, as Armada was even more out of the comfort zone for AMG compared to X-Wing.

It's hard to improve on the classic ISD design but I think the Venator did it. Great looking ship, one of my favorites. I used a ton of them in the old prepainted fleet game.
