Subject: Plasma decimator mortal wounds?

I know this has been covered before. But I get confused in the wording. Do I take a maximum of 2 mortal wounds or do they stakc up?
"Plasma decimator
Before selecting targets, select one of the profiles below to make attacks with.
- Standard 48" Heavy 2D6 8 -4 2 Blast
- Supercharge 48" Heavy 2D6 9 -4 3 Blast. Each time an unmodified hit roll of 1 is made for an attack with this weapon profile, the bearer suffers 2 mortal wounds after shooting with this weapon profile."
2D6 mean and averedge of 2 or 4 mortal wounds.

It says each time, so its 2 MW for every 1 you roll. If you roll five 1s you get 10MW.

Definitely 2 MW for each 1. The wording would be something like “each time this weapon fires, suffer 2 Mortal Wounds if 1 or more of the attacks is a unmodified 1” if you could only to suffer only 2 MW each time you fire the weapon.

Remember that each dice you roll when shooting with a weapon is an "attack". If a weapon is Heavy 2D6, then it makes 2D6 separate attacks. This means that each one of those dice can trigger two mortal wounds, because the rule applies each time you roll a 1 when making "an attack".

What is this pladma decimator from, so I know to never take one?
I know it’s traditional for plasma to kill the user but that looks like a big gun for a big, expensive model. Potentially dealing itself 24W in a turn seems excessive. Shoulda called it the auto-decimator…

It is a weapon for imperial Knights. The Knight Castellan and a few others can use it, I believe.
It only has the potential to do those wounds if you use the supercharge mode. In standard mode it does not harm the Knight.
