So i am fighting space wolves with my white scars. I have attack bikes and devastators charge his grey hunters. But krom dragongaze uses countercharge to heroicly intervene.

Now my charging units have strike first from charging. Krom has strike first from his WL trait. But the grey hunters have fight normal.

There was another combat that was happenning and so i did that one first because it was a charge as well and i didnt want that one interrupted.

But how does the order work for the scenario stated above?

I want to just attack his grey hunters so do i get to attack with all of my chargers first, then his char, then we alternate constant combat?

Or since his char and my unit are both fight first he can attack with him and interrupt me?

Assuming no one plays the interrupt Stratagem…

All units (across the whole battlefield) who Charged or have Fight First alternate, starting with the player whose turn it is.

Then all regular units alternate, starting with player whose turn it isn’t.

Then all Fights Last units alternate.

Choosing who to fight with next to avoid being ganked before your unit gets to fight is where all the strategy comes in!

For me, the joy is in putting some good-looking models on the board and playing out a fantasy battle - not arguing over the poorly-made rules of some 3rd party who neither has any power over my play nor will be visiting me (and my opponent) to ensure we are "playing by the rules"

The Designer’s Commentary helps clarify what happens.

So in your example, you have a number of units that fight first. The Attack Bikes and Devastators (due to charging), plus the third unit in another combat. Your opponent has one unit that fights first (Krom).

Since you both have units that fight first, you alternate activations for the fight first units.

In your description, you activated the third unit in another combat first. At this point your opponent can either chose to activate Krom, or they can play the Counter Offensive stratagem to instead activate an eligible unit.

You then go back and forth until all of the fight first units have fought and then proceed to go onto the normal activation sequence. I hope that helps clarify things.
