So it begins...! My first go at rounding out my Traitor EC force.

Scheme of Manoeuvre

- Kakophoni and Lascannon heavies will each be joined by an apothecary and a techmarine. This will make both units tougher, BS5, and Night vision, so I will enforce Night fighting if the mission allows so they can shoot targets that can't hurt them back. WL trait means I get an extra Shooting reaction so both these units can Return Fire too, so opponent can't force me into choosing between them. They also both get a free Intercept reaction so enemy reserves will suffer. I envisage these guys doing a lot of work.
- Terminators are made Line via Herald and will march up the board and present the main forward threat, supported by the Tactical squads. Sonic shrieker on the Herald also helps in melee
- Command squad with Praetor, Librarian, and jump pack Apothecary will deep strike. Telepath can Pin one key enemy unit, then turn off reactions on another to charge in safety. This is a big nasty unit that will happily clear enemies off objectives and hopefully wreak some havoc (and are also Line)
- Kratos I envisage going after dreadnoughts initially with its high-volume of S7 attacks but would equally suit thinning down enemy infantry


Expanding to 3000pts:
- 20-man Tactical squad with phoenix spear, vexilla, augury scanner (+230)
- 2x javelins with lascannon and multi meltas (+210)
- extra apothecary for the 20-man Tac squad (+45)
- artificer armour for jump pack apothecary (+10)

Some big modifications, also to bring it to 3k, hopefully more boys less toys and some more AT punch.

Maru Skara RoW. Lucius and Phoenix Guard, 15-man Tac squad, and multimelta jetbikes outflank turn 2. Three beefy blocks of Line on the board to start with. Apocs go into the 20-man tac squads, kakophoni and lascannon heavies, techmarine also joins heavies.

Techmarine goes with Lascannon heavies, Apoc goes with Kakophoni to stop them blowing themselves up. Fulgrim goes with Phoenix Guard, Centurion goes with regular Tartaros. Two huge nasty blobs of Line terminators to charge the enemy, two big blobs of Tacticals to hold my backfield, two long range shooty units (though with very different roles), a sniper unit, and a big tank, simple as it comes.
