Awesome, as always.

We played our first campaign game of gdf firefight and both forgot about morale until after the game because we were so caught up in the game play.

How do the Skirmish/Firefight modes play compared to the "army" scale games?

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

Skirmish feels slightly more detailed. Units have a chance of collecting wounds that can either take them out immediately or build up to potentially take them out later (wounds taken +d6 : 2-5 stuns the unit for a round while 6+ takes them out of action).

There’s also campaign progression after battle to get better skills, equipment or even injuries or completely lose a unit; most units are single models but some are small groups of say 3 models.

I like army and skirmish levels but skirmish is our preference for space, models and speed of play.
