Just wanted to know how communities arround the world implement their painting code.

For the sake of this poll a comunity is not only your closest gamming group but rather all the people with which you might probably play during a gamming year.

Thanks in advance

PD: please try to give an answer to the poll that reflects the current "de facto" state of your community, not your personal preference.

Painted armies are expected. It's not strictly enforced against newbies as long as they're making a good faith effort to get to a fully painted army, we know everyone has to start somewhere. But if you don't want to put in the effort to make an aesthetically appealing game for both players you won't be getting a second invitation.

One of their light walkers carried a weapon of lethal effect. It fired a form of ultra-high velocity projectile. I saw one of our tanks after having been hit by it. There was a small hole punched in either flank - one the projectile's entry point, the other its exit. The tiny munition had passed through the vehicle with such speed that everything within the hull not welded down had been sucked out through the exit hole. Including the crew. We never identified their bodies, for all that remained of them was a red stain upon the ground, extending some twenty metres from the wreck.

Bow before the Greater Good, gue'la.

Custom40k Homebrew - Alternate activation, huge customisation, support for all models from 3rd to 10th edition

Designer's Note: Hardened Veterans can be represented by any Imperial Guard models, but we've really included them to allow players to practise their skills at making a really unique and individual unit. Because of this we won't be making models to represent many of the options allowed to a Veteran squad - it's up to you to convert the models. (Imperial Guard, 3rd Edition)

There isn't a painting "code" in my community. Most people do paint, and it's encouraged, but we like to play nice, and unpainted isn't going to prevent you getting a game.

Please stop opening new threads all about the same thing.

‘What Lorgar’s fanatics have not seen is that these gods are nothing compared to the power and the majesty of the Machine-God. Already, members of our growing cult are using the grace of the Omnissiah – the true Omnissiah, not Terra’s false prophet – to harness the might of the warp. Geller fields, warp missiles, void shields, all these things you are familiar with. But their underlying principles can be turned to so much more. Through novel exploitations of these technologies we will gain mastery first over the energies of the empyrean, then over the lesser entities, until finally the very gods themselves will bend the knee and recognise the supremacy of the Machine-God"
